9 Months

9 months (and 6 days) ago my precious little miracles came into this world at 10:39, 10:39, and 10:40. As of their 9 month check up yesterday their weights and lengths are:

Alex - 17lbs 9ozs, 27.25 inches
Grant - 17lbs 12ozs , 27.5 inches
Ethan - 14lbs 8ozs, 25.5 inches
They are growing well. Alex and Grant are on the growth chart for their actual age weight wise!! Ethan is still not even close. However, they are all on it for their head size. We have big headed kiddos. Grant's head is in the 50th percentile, Alex's is in the 60th, and Ethan's in the 40th. This is all for ACTUAL age too!

Our pedi wants us to start working on finger foods, sippy cups, and everything that goes along with that. So, I have tried putting some of their purees on their trays to see if they will put their hands in it, and then in their mouths. So far, no luck with that coordination.

Plus, I have tried the Gerber yogurt melts with them. They can't handle the texture. They are all very sensitive to textures, so we'll have to work hard on that. I just don't know what to do.

Alex will "splash" around in his food, but doesn't get that he needs to put those fingers up to his mouth.

Ethan likes to paint! Still no fingers to the mouth though. He likes to put them in his hair though!

Then we have our thumb sucker. You would think it would be fairly easy for him to get this concept. However, Grant does NOT like to have his hands dirty...

So here are some random pictures and videos.

It was a nice evening outside, so before James got home from work, the boys and I hung out on the deck.

Grandma Rigsby came to visit/help take care of the boys while I went to Missouri for my friend Amy's wedding. When I got back, Grandma taught Grant how to purse his lips like a fish!! It is cute.

On another note... I have an announcement to make!! The boys are 9 months old now, and 9 months from now...

The boys will be 18 months old! That's all!! Elizabeth got pregnant again when her triplets were 9 months, so I just had to joke!! :) (I hope I didn't give anyone a heart attack!!)

So, update on the mouse. We haven't officially caught it yet, but it is trapped inside our laundry closet right now. We just have to figure out how to catch it once we open it up!

Here are a few pictures from Amy's wedding weekend. She married John. He has a 2.5 yr old son we'll call B. I didn't get any pictures of the actual wedding, but I will get some from one of the other people that were there eventually. I'll post those when I get them, but here are the few I have.

Here is Krissy, Amy and I right before the rehearsal. We all went to highschool together.

Here are the bridesmaids and honorary bridesmaids. All of us, except one and the flowergirl, were from Colorado or Wyoming.
Here is the happy couple, Amy and John!!!! CONGRATS you two!!!
Here is the little family!!! B is so precious and he danced the night away with his dad and Amy.

Here are the centerpeices that John created. They are beautiful. The rose is sunk down into the rocks with a wieght and the candle is just floating above it all.

Our Wedding

What were your wedding colors?--Periwinkle and yellow

What was your wedding dress like?--strapless, beaded with Swarovski crystals, had a boned corrset in it and it laced up the back. It had a sweatheart neckline and a chapel train.

Can you name your bridesmaids?--Jami, Elizabeth, Amy, Kristen, and Mary

What about your groomsmen?--Chris (James is in his wedding in a week!), Austin, Joe, Dave, Doug, and Jackson (our nephew as the ringbear)

Do you still talk to your wedding party?--Of course... ALL OF THEM!! I am related to two of them, Jami and I still talk about 4 times a week (some more, some less), I don't get to talk to Amy, Kristen and Mary as much as I would like, but when we do talk it is like we haven't been apart much. As for the groomsmen, as you can see James is in Chris' wedding, he was an usher in Austin's wedding and we talk to them a lot. Joe calls and talks when he is not engulfed with his girl (happy for you Joe!!), and we got to see Dave (and Austin) when we were up in Fargo a month or so ago. James is going to see his sisters and Jackson and Caroline (our neice who was only 1 year old the year of our wedding) the same weekend of Chris' wedding.

What was the biggest "disaster" of the wedding?--hmmmmm.... I guess the only thing I could possibly consider a disaster would be that I could hardly stand up straight during our pictures. So my chiropractor friend came in and gave me an adjustment before the wedding started. You can see the video here. It was all better during the wedding, but if he hadn't helped, I wouldn't have made it through the weddding!

Who were your ushers? Can you remember?--Dave Winegar and Dan Nebelsick (I think there was only two!) or was Henry (my cousin) one too.... hmmm... I am going to have to go look at pictures... how frustrating!

Who was the music at your wedding?--Let's see.... James' cousin Susan played the piano, Diane played the organ, Douglas, Brian, and Alex sang a trio, Marie sang, Douglas and Elizabeth sang a duet, and my bridesmaids sang. I then had the bells toll us out of the sanctuary! (did I miss anyone?)

What was the reception like?--It was at Twin Spruce Junior High in their "new" lobby area. We had food, and punch (except the punch ran out before we got there!) and an cake with a fountain in it! We danced, mingled, and then went on our way!

Was rice thrown? No, we filled the fabric "roses" with birdseed. The church wouldn't let us use rice. (I was still finding birdseed in places in my car and suitcase 2 years later)

Who traveled farthest to get to your wedding?--Probably James' family from Louisiana

Did you have a recieving line?-- Yep, the parents and us only.

Transportation? My aunt and uncle took us in a white Mustang convertable around town before we got to the reception, and then to our hotel.

Your favorite memory of the wedding?--how much fun the whole weekend was. We did so much. It truly was a whole wedding weekend!

How many weddings have you been a part of?--hmmmm.... the first wedding I was a part of was my sister's, i was Maid of Honor. Then I was a bridesmaid in Kristen's; singer in Mary's; and Matron of Honor at Jami's. I am waiting for my bro to get married so I can have another one on my list (no pressure Doug!!! :-)

If you have a blog, you should copy and paste this and fill in your own answers. This was fun Kristen!!

Wedding Day Adjustment

One of my bridesmaids took this at my wedding. I finally got it from her. I have to share it. It was taken by Mary Olsen (then Fritson) and I have to explain the back story.

We took pictures before the wedding. During the pictures, my back was killing me. I could hardly stand up straight. Well, we have a family friend who is a chiropractor and he came in before the wedding and straigtened out my back. The problem was, as you will see, I was in my wedding dress at the church. My nephew is in the background and thought he was hurting me too. This is just too funny. You have to watch it all, the funniest moment is close to the end.
